Estate & Trust Administration
Our attorneys have significant experience in representing personal representatives in the probate of a decedent’s estate and representing trustees in all aspects of trust administration. Our attorneys are regularly in the probate courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We regularly counsel personal representatives and trustees so that they can fulfill their legal responsibilities in the administration of the estate or trust.
The estate administration process can seem overwhelming and intimidating. At our initial meeting our attorneys will sit down with you to review the ins and outs of the estate administration process and alleviate your concerns. We will work with you to formulate a complete outline for the administration of your estate. This will serve as the road map for both you and us. We will discuss with you the gathering of estate assets, the preparation of tax returns, the filing of court documents, the payment of creditors, and the ultimate distribution of the estate assets to the proper beneficiaries. Our goal is to assist you in meeting your fiduciary obligations in the most cost effective and efficient manner.
Whether you are a beneficiary or trustee of a trust, our attorneys have significant experience in trust administration. Probate & Trust Litigation
When disputes among beneficiaries and/or beneficiaries and fiduciaries cannot be resolved through alternative means, we will bring or defend actions in court on behalf of our clients. We frequently represent beneficiaries, personal representatives and trustees in probate and trust disputes. Wherever possible we look to bring opposing parties to the table to find an amicable resolution for all parties. However, to the extent disputes cannot be resolved our attorneys are experienced in probate litigation. Our attorneys are highly experienced with the judicial process and have been involved in will disputes and alleged breaches of fiduciary duties.
